Challenge Cup washed out

THE Worksop Sunday League’s Challenge Cup fell victim to the weather for the first time in its 50-year history yesterday.

Blue Bell’s clash with St Joseph’s was called off by officials on Saturday night due to a water logged pitch at Harworth Colliery.

The league committee are hoping to have the game played on 13th May at Harworth.

Blue Bell, Carlton in Lindrick’s first ever representatives in a Sunday League cup final, are hoping to win their first piece of silverware, while St Joe’s want to make up for last weekend’s Benevolent Cup final loss to Anchor
