Clark opens up for fans

WORKSOP Town boss Simon Clark has promised to be open and honest as he faces supporters questions on Friday night.

Clark, his assistant Dave Frecklington and chairman Jason Clark will all meet the club’s fanbase at the Supporters Trust AGM at Sandy Lane (7pm).

Although a section of fans are disgruntled over the poor run of form that has seen Tigers win just four of their 18 games in 2012, the manager is ready to open dialogue with them.

“I can’t wait,” he told the Guardian this week.

“I’m looking forward to meeting them because it’s all about the supporters, so I’ll stay until the last question has been asked.”

“They won’t agree with all of the answers, but I will be honest and answer them all.”

Although the odds are stacked in their favour, Clark’s Worksop could still mathematically be relegated and need a point from one of their final two league outings to be sure – starting on Saturday at home to Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Centre-half Kern Miller will miss the game through injury, and Steve Melton is unlikely to play due to having stitches in a gash on his shin.

Tigers enter the game on the back of a draw with Ashton and a loss at Frickley over the Easter Weekend.
