Crowle Colts 0

Gainsborough Trinity 2

LAST season’s league champions Trinity started this season’s campaign with a victory.

The breakthrough came on 15 minutes when a terrific through ball from Keatan Gale put in his strike partner Thomas Williams and he raced into the area to beat the keeper.

Trinity should have doubled their lead before half-time when Gale went down the left and had two players unmarked in the box, but his cross found the keeper.

The visitors doubled their lead when a scramble in the box from an Adam Bush corner was poked home by Daniel Clark.

Man of the Match was Bush, who put in a really strong performance in the centre of midfield .

They took the lead when Cummins-Hylton latched onto a Boswell goal kick to round the keeper, finishing in style with his first goal for his new club.

Ten minutes before half-time Cory Drummond scored the second after a good run and cross by Cummins-Hylton. It was against the run of play in the second half that Trinity added a third when Aaron Dixie crossed and found Drummond in space who finished well.

Although Crowle pulled one back, a through ball by Wray found Brandon-Scrimshaw who finished with aplomb. Thank you to team sponsor Fosco On Site Services for their continued support.
