Worsfold chased down a lost cause, put York City Adam Bartlett under pressure and then lashed high into the net after the keeper’s weak punch fell to Nicky Walker nine minutes into the second half.

Midway through the first half Brandon Fleming had been red carded for a late challenge.

After the 1-0 win , Trinity’s 12th of the season, manager Lee Sinnott said: “It was a determined performance. We were worth the win because of what we did with 10 men.”

Matchwinner Worsfold added: “It was a massive three points.”
