

Darlington defender Nicky Hunt has returned home from hospital, the Quakers have revealed.
Hunt went to ground following a collision in the 87th minute of last night’s home contest against Boston United, which was abandoned with the Pilgrims leading 2-0.Hunt was treated on the pitch until an ambulance arrived at around 11pm.

Darlington’s Twitter account stated: “We are pleased to inform everyone that following a scan on his head and neck at North Tees Hospital early this morning, Nicky has been given the all-clear.
“He was released from hospital at around 5am, and he returned home to rest with his family.”

Darlington also thanked Boston’s sports rehabilitator Haydon Clifton and his team for assisting in treating Hunt,
