Striker Dayle Southwell - who spent a spell on loan with Boston United this season - will not be returning to York Street.

Craig Elliott said the door remained open for the striker, who scored 54 times in a previous spell with the Pilgrims, after he returned to parent club FC Halifax Town earlier this month.

However, the former Grimsby Town, Wycombe Wanderers and Guiseley striker has agreed a long-term deal with National League North leaders King's Lynn.

Southwell featured for United twice against the Linnets this season, in the 1-0 defeat at The Walks on Boxing Day, and also in New Year's Day's 3-0 reverse at York Street.
