Gary Edgley is calling on his Boston Town side to show more consistency as they prepare for a tough test at Rothwell Corinthians this evening.

The Poachers will make the midweek trek to Northamptonshire looking to close the gap on the side who sit one place above them in the United Counties League Premier Division.

"Rushing to get there on a Tuesday night isn't ideal at all, but I don't want that as an excuse," said Edgley, who hopes having a more settled squad will help his side begin to put a run together.

"We've got more or less and unchanged side from the weekend.

"We've been stop-start this season and, at the minute, we're far too inconsistent. We' need to be more consistent in terms of performances.

"On Saturday we were near enough back to our best."

Rothwell sit 10th in the table, four points head of the Poachers having played three more games.

The two rivals both recorded 3-0 home wins when they met last season, before the results were declared null and void.

"We went there last season with half a team and didn't do ourselves justice, got turned over," Edgley added.

"We then played them at home and beat them comprehensively, but Rothwell are doing well this season.

"They're one of these teams where it's never going to be an easy game. They put the work in."

Kick off will be at 7.45pm.
