Gary Edgley hopes football can resume post lockdown and Boston Town will be able to finish what they’ve started.

The Poachers’ campaign - like all non-elite sport - is currently on hold.

However, Edgley hopes action will return sooner rather than later.

Hopefully, we’ll start up again,” he said.

“We were disappointed last season was cut short. We had a (county cup) final we still had to play.

“The season was probably, in all fairness, going to be one of the best finishes the club have had in quite a long time, that’s frustrating.

“In terms of the football, we do this as it’s something we love and it’s a release from the everyday world.

“Its the same for the fans. But when all’s said and done, the safety of people is most important.

Edgley, however, knows action will have to come thick and fast if the UCL Premier kicks off again this term.

He added: “Straight away we’re going to have a backlog of six games.

"Will the season finish? Who knows?

“We will be fully committed (to playing).”
