Evans is keen to remain positive despite poor run
Matt Evans was keen to take the positives despite Sleaford Town being beaten 2-1 at home by Clifton All Whites on Saturday.
Sleaford remain eight points above the UCL Division One relegation zone although they have played four games more than the current third-from-bottom side West Bridgford.

Saturday’s loss was their sixth in a row and came despite Ben Coleman reducing the arrears on 74 minutes following Clifton’s early opener and a second on 67 minutes.
But Evans told the club’s media he was nevertheless pleased with the resolve shown by his young team.
He said: “I was pleased that we didn’t just roll over and die, certainly after conceding another early goal which was really frustrating.
"There were moments in there again where we just lacked the bit of quality to get the goal and it was the third game in the last four where the last kick of the game was a shot of ours that should have gone in.
"So there were lots of frustrating moments but the positivity was there with respect to our character. We just lacked quality at the key moments.
"Some of the mistakes that happened were not characteristic of those that you rely on a bit more. The players gave everything they could and did the best they could right up until the last kick of the game.”
Evans added that despite the run of form, his players are keen to put things right and that the results are certainly not for want of trying.
He said: “The players are hungry and want to do the right things – nobody turns up to have a bad day – but we make poor choices at key moments or we get desperate and lash at things.
"It’s frustrating for me as well as those who are coming to watch us as the lads want to impress in recognition of the support the fans and sponsors give.”
Sleaford return to action on Saturday with a trip to Dunkirk, who were ninth in the UCL Division One standings after Saturday’s games.
