'˜Experienced' duo set for Town return

Gary Frost hopes to bolster his squad with the return of Craig Parker and Tom Charlesworth this weekend.

But the Boston Town boss thinks that Saturday’s clash at Rothwell Corinthians will come a little too soon for Jordan Nuttell.

The influential Nuttell has been sidelined with a calf strain since the 2-2 draw with Wisbech Town midway through last month, and it is feared that he won’t be ready in time for the contest.

However, Frost hopes that his patched-up side will welcome two more familiar faces back.

“We should have Craig Parker back on Saturday, and Tom Charlesworth should be available too,” he said.

“We’ve changed the side a lot and had a lot of players out.

“So it’s always good news when you start picking up experienced players again.”

Rothwell have lost two of their past three home games and Frost is eager for his side to claim three important points as they look to claw further away from the bottom of the United Counties League Premier Division table.

However, this week he has also stressed the importance of conceding fewer goals.

He added: “We just need to sort the defending out a bit. In a game like Saturday (a 2-2 draw with Cogenhoe), if we score twice then we should be winning the game at this level.

“We’ve conceded seven in my first three games and we need to tighten up, win more first balls and be more aggressive.”
