AFC Ordsall started life in Division One with a 4-11 victory at Kings Arms Haxey.

Ordsall were concerned about their ability to compete in the top division, but the win showed they are more than capable of making an impact.

Albertos, last season’s Division Two Champions, looked to have strengthened and won on the opening day.

They lost for the second time on Sunday, however, going down 3-2 to near neighbours Olde Sun.

In Division Two, Peacock and Westwoodside both continued their winning starts to make it two victories from two matches.

Peacock defeated Bridon AFC 5-3 in a very attacking game.

Both teams should take heart from their performances and be confident for the rest of the season.

Promoted Westwoodside had too much pace for Trinity Supporters Club O35s to win 6-0.

Cross Keys Wroot, another new team, who had started with a win and a draw, lost 9-0 at home to Leverton United.

Bridon AFC Reserves edged a six-goal game against Stanwood Engineering 4-2 to record their second win of their first season in the league.
