Gainsborough Trinity were on the wrong end of a 6-1 scoreline at home to National League North leaders Solihull Moors.

A Jake Picton own goal set Solihull on their way before a Ryan Beswick double made it 3-0 at the break on the Northolme on Saturday.

Trinity reduced the deficit through Liam Davis on 62 minutes before Liam Daly restored the visitors’ three-goal advantage.

Then a late brace from Akwasi Asante put added gloss on the scoreline for Solihull.
