Trinity have been hit hard by lost revenues following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and were forced to suspend all wage payments to club staff earlier this month.

Now they are calling on fans and the wider community to give their support and help them reach their £10,000 target.

The appeal sees the club bring forward the availability of a number of ticket packages, sponsorship opportunities and VIP experiences from the upcoming 2020/21 season to ensure they have the cashflow needed to pay suppliers and stakeholders.

For every £75 raised in the crowdfunding campaign, the club will donate one match ticket for the 2020/21 season to NHS staff from the Lincolnshire NHS Trust.

Chairman Richard Kane said: “The current pandemic stretches way beyond the football industry. However, the club feels a very real sense of responsibility to do everything it can to support our stakeholders - many of them members of the Blue Army themselves.

“It is not enough for us to simply sit tight and hope that it all blows over. By moving forward a number of package opportunities for next season, we are able to ensure cashflow in the short term, as well as give a little back to the NHS heroes who are working to keep us all safe and healthy.”
