And with the Pilgrims third in the table, two points behind leaders Solihull Moors, Garner believes United would be a good bet for the title.

“I really fancy us now and I’m sure teams are looking round and thinking ‘Boston are coming’,” he said.

“At home we’ve been unbelievable, and away from home we’ve been doing well as well.

“I don’t think we get the praise we deserve sometimes.

“Seven wins out of eight games is unbelievable, but it’s expected here now - that’s the standard we’ve set for ourselves.”

Boston return to action at mid-table Gloucester City on Sunday (KO 3pm), before another blank weekend.

“One more 90 minutes, hopefully three more points, then we can relax and enjoy watching the other scores come in again,” Garner added.
