The Pilgrims were without a fixture this weekend, but remain third in the National League North.

Greene hopes that the blank Saturday, brought on by Bradford Park Avenue’s involvement in the FA Trophy, has given winger Kaine Felix (hamstring) and left back Dyland McEvoy (calf) sufficient time to overcome their injuries.

There is also some slim hope that 15-goal leading scorer Dayle Southwell may play some part after being sidelined since before Christmas with a metatarsal injury.

“When we come back Dylan will be back, Kaine will be back and Dayle will be touch and go,” Greene said.

“Certainly two out of three will be back and we’ll be in better shape for a home game.”

United have also been buoyed by the fact that McEvoy’s loan spell from Sunderland has been extended until the end of the season. He will be eligible to compete in the play-off rounds if the Pilgrims are to get that far.

Boston will be eager for three points on Saturday, not only to consolidate a place in the top five as opponents around them all have games in hand, but also to exact some revenge upon the Pitmen.

Goals from Carl Piergianni and Mark Jones saw United fight back from 2-0 down to level at Keys Park in September, only for the hosts to grab a stoppage-time winner.

Speaking of Southwell, Greene added: “It’s one of those injuries that when you’ve got a broken foot it’s not right until it heals.

“It’s not like a calf injury that you can treat, you’ve just got to wait.

“We’ve got a really strong squad. It’s a frightening squad we’ve got if everyone’s fit.”

Kick off at the Jakemans Stadium on Saturday will be at 3pm.
