Greene wants six points from Boston United's Easter action

Boston United host struggling Brackley Town today (Saturday) before Monday’s visit to fellow promotion-chasers Tamworth (both 3pm).

“There’s one place available and potentially four teams going for it,” Greene said.

“We can only give everything.”

Boston will be buoyed by the return of defender Carl Piergianni, while leading scorer Dayle Southwell made it unscathed through 90 minutes during the defeat to North Ferriby on his return from a hamstring strain.

When pushed, Greene admitted he’d love his side to get two victories following their recent poor run of results - and he is adamant it just needs one good result to transform the side’s fortunes.

“I’d take four points right now, but we can take six,” he mused.

“We can go on to win six out of our last seven games and win the play-offs.

“If we get one win we can gain momentum, that’s what happens. We just need a win.”

While Saturday’s clash against Brackley looks the easier on paper, Greene is taking nothing for granted.

He added: “They’re fighting for their lives and we need three points.

“You’ve got to make sure you keep winning.

“Our season’s still alive, there are 16 odd managers who’d like to be in this position.”

John Sands and Stephane Ngamvoulou have both left Boston - Sands joining King’s Lynn on loan and Ngamvoulou returning to Whitehawk after his month’s stay came to an end.
