“Today really hurts me if I’m honest and it’s a very tough one to take," he said.

"I have not felt this low after a game of football to be honest.

"First things first, credit to Hykeham. They're a good, well-drilled young side who play some good football on their 4G pitch and totally deserved the win.

"I’m not going to comment too much on the officiating as last time I did I got a fine and I don’t want to risk another fine or suspension.

"I felt maybe a 3-1 scoreline would have been fair."

Greswell felt there was a handball in the build up to the hosts' second goal, and Dawson's appeals saw him sin-binned.

The Colts then saw captain Butler sent off for a challenge the Wyberton boss said 'only one man has seen as a red card.'

At 3-0 down Nicky Frost's goal game the away side some hope, but the numerical advantage saw the hosts pick off their opponents in the final half hour.

"I accept the best team won today but I’m really hurting in truth," Greswell added.

"We move on now and have five games between now and our county cup final.

"We can’t feel sorry for ourselves and must move on."
