

The match ball used as Boston United secured promotion to the Football League has been sold this evening.
The club auctioned the collector's item off on website ebay.

And one lucky punter bid £400 to become the proud new owner.
The ball was used as the Pilgrims won 2-0 at Hayes to pip Dagenham and Redbridge to the Conference title on goal difference in May 2002.
It was donated to the club by fan Andy Robinson and 25 bids were made in total.
All proceeds will go to the Boston United Community Foundation.
