United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that Wayne Rooney will miss the game due to a bad throat.

Ferguson went on to say “our game against Basle in the group stage shows we can not be casual, but our 2-0 lead from the first leg is a good one, no doubt”.

During the press conference, Ferguson talks about Ryan Giggs, Cleverley returning and Carlos Tevez.
