Town had to batten down the hatches in the first half as they kicked into a strong gusty wind, but created pressure in the opening 10 minutes with some dangerous crosses into the box.

But the visitors, who arrived with just two wins to their name this season, began to pin Sleaford into their own half and create chances of their own.

They hit the side-netting with one effort while another flashed across the face of goal, but Town sensibly slowed play down and saw out the half on level terms.

With the wind behind them, it was now Town’s turn to pin Huntingdon back, and they soon forced a few crucial mistakes.

A goal and assist apiece from Ryan Oliver and Tom Siddons helped the home side into a 2-0 lead by the hour mark.

Huntingdon continued to battle, but as the game opened up, Town piled forwards, and another mistake opened up the visitors’ defence for Harry Millard to score his seventh league goal of the season and cap a 3-0 win.
