Boston United have sold Jordan Archer to National League North rivals Southport.

The striker - who joined the club in the summer - moves on without making a start for Craig Elliott’s side.

The former Bury, Port Vale and Chester attacker made four appearances off the bench without scoring, but found himself behind Jordan Burrow in the pecking order.

It is understood the Sandgrounders have paid an undisclosed fee for Archer, who scored four times in 21 appearances during a loan spell at Haig Avenue in the 2018-19 campsign.
