Louth Six-a-Side League: Legends win top-of-the-table battle

Louth Legends went clear at the top of the Louth Six-a-Side League as they thrashed title rivals Mark Donner AFC 4-0.

The Premier Division’s top two went into the game locked on points with the Legends ahead on superior goal difference, but a man-of-the-match display from Ellis Barker sent them two points clear with three games to go.

The rest of the top four remained the same with Louth All Stars and LA Crusaders both having points matches.

The situation at the foot of the table also remained unchanged as bottom side Team P and B were thrashed 10-0 by Norfolk Chance, while Petr Cech Yourself were also comfortably beaten, 4-0, by fifth-placed Game of Throw-ins.

* In the Championship, leaders Job Centre XI had to work hard to edge past lowly Golden Oldies 2-1 to stay three points clear at the top.

Nearest challengers Louth OG’z kept up the pressure as they brushed aside the challenge of bottom side Tekkerslovakia, 6-1, thanks to a man-of-the-match performance from Frazer Chapman.

Behind them, Susie’s Stars and Sub Standard both remain just two points back after wins over Stroke T (3-1) and Real SoSoBad (2-0) respectively.

In the evening’s other match Dragon Men swapped places with opponents #DS9, moving up to fifth after a comprehensive 3-0 win against their mid-table rivals.
