A dominant second-half display was fully rewarded as Holbeach United inflicted an eighth successive defeat on Sleaford Town.

Nick Jackson’s opener was cancelled out by Ryan Parnell before the break but Jordan Thomas struck 22 seconds after the restart and Jake Clitheroe sealed the points at Eslaforde Park.

Tigers keeper Rick Drury made a first-minute save from Sam Greenwood who also fired over in between efforts from Spencer Tinkler and Aaron Eyett.

Jordan Thomas twice went close but the deadlock was broken when Eyett’s chip was flicked in by Jackson.

Six minutes later, though, Greenwood fed Parnell who beat the offside trap to roll the ball past Drury.

Thomas found the bottom corner at the start of the second half and Holbeach took control.

Jack Smith should have scored with the best opportunity until Clitheroe’s deflected drive made it 3-1.
