Skegness Town know what they are looking for in a player, and new recruit Adam Millson ticks all the boxes.

The former Boston United, Wisbech Town and Cleethorpes Town midfielder made his debut for his home-town club in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Hallam, replacing goalscorer Ben Davison after he was forced to leave the pitch with a head injury.

Manager Nathan Collins was delighted to bring in Millson.

He said: “We’re trying to build a team of lads who know what non-league’s all about and accept they have to battle for their place.

“The lads we’re bringing in all tick that box, Adam certainly does.

“He did really well when he came on.

“I’m really pleased to have him on board.”

The Lilywhites picked up their first Northern Counties East League Division One points of the campaign on Saturday, bouncing back from the previous week’s 3-1 defeat to Dronfield.

They followed this up with a midweek 4-1 success at Selby.

Town face two home contests at the Vertigo Stadium this week, entertaining Glasshoughton Welfare on Saturday (KO 3pm) and Swallownest on Tuesday (KO 7.45pm).
