Missed opportunities cost Pilgrims - Greene
The manager admitted that his side missed a golden opportunity to move up to second in the National League North, after missing a series of golden opportunities in front of goal.
Kaine Felix somehow screwed an effort wide of an unguarded net while Lewis Hilliard and John Sands also failed to hit the target from close range.
And when the Pilgrims did muster shots on target, Gloucester stopper Jas Singh was in the right place.
“All the chances were there in the first half and we didn’t punish them with the wind in our favour,” Greene reflected.
“We had four or five massive chances and never took one of them and lost the game 1-0, so that’s football you know.
“We could have been 4-0 up at half time and not had to worry and everybody would be saying ‘what a good away performance’, but we lost the game 1-0 because we didn’t take our chances today.”
Joe Parker grabbed the game’s only goal in the 61st minute, which was abitter pill to swallow for Boston keeper Fabian Spiess who was also in superb form.
