Chris Dunn’s men beat local rivals Parkgate on Saturday, their eighth home win in 10, and the last time they lost at the ground was back in October.

The victory came a week after a 1-1 draw with high flying Worksop Parramore, and Maltby now sit 14th in the NCEL Premier Division with nine games remaining.

Given Dunn’s brief of keeping the club in the Premier, a finish just below midtable would be a welcome achievement for the club.

On Saturday goals from Matthew Plant, Brian Cusworth and Oliver Graham had Main in complete control at 3-0, before Parkgate got a late consolation through Lee Hill.

Tomorrow they are due to visit Tadcaster Albion, and with just two defeats in the eight games they’ve played in 2013, Main will hope to continue their impressive form.
