Hemsworth settled down and the game evened out, but it was Parramore who took the lead on 28 minutes.

Matty Thorpe was the scorer for Parramore from 20 yards after a goal mouth scramble fell kindly for Thorpe to place the ball in the bottom right corner.

Worksop stopper Steve Hernandez made a tremendous save, getting down quickly to keep out an Andrew Hayward effort.

The second half, with Parramore kicking against the strong wind, was a struggle.

Hemsworth applied a lot of pressure which was largely soaked up but there were a fair amount of chances for the visitors to score.

The heroics of Hernandez, who again pulled off a save that wouldn’t have been out of place in England’s top flight game, kept Parramore in the game.

Parramore did have a couple of chances but didn’t add to the lead while Hemsworth’s best chance of the game went begging after their forward dragged his shot wide.

Parramore play Appleby Froddingham away on 28th January 2012.

The next home game for Parramore is on 4th February against Teversal.
