NCEL: Wins for Retford and Dinno but Main lose again

RETFORD United and Dinnington Town tasted victory in Saturday’s NCEL action, but Maltby Main’s woeful run of league form continued.

In the Premier Division Retford Retford remained joined top with a 2-1 win at Hall Road Rangers.

The Badgers goals came from Ricky Chambers and Warren Hatfield.

Steve Adams’ Maltby are now rock bottom following their 3-0 defeat at home to Liversedge.

The Muglet Lane men are level on six points with Pickering, but have played two more games and have a goal difference of minue 35, compared with Pickering’s minus 15.

In the division below, Dinnington Town defeated bottom side Appleby-Froddingham thanks to first half goals from Liam Cartledge and Joseph Howsham.
