Ngamvoulou is enjoying Boston United loan spell, despite dug-out bust-up

The 27-year-old Frenchman - who has joined on a month’s loan from National League Premier Whitehawk - opened the scoring for Hednesford Town at the Jakemans Stadium last month before the hosts came from behind to win 3-1.

As the contest got heated, with Pitmen defender Jack Fitzwater and manager Frank Sinclair both getting their marching orders, Ngamvoulou found himself exchanging words with the United dug-out.

“I was very surprised (to learn Boston were interested), especially as we had an argument on the bench,” the 6ft 4ins midfielder said, before stating the spat was swiftly forgotten.

“It’s all about repect, at the end we shook hands and I feel grateful playing for Boston.

“They give me a good opportunity and I will use it best I can.

“When the manager gets sent off there was just an argument, but nothing serious.”

Boston boss Dennis Greene was obviously more impressed when Ngamvoulou’s feet did the talking as he contacted Whitehawk manager Steve King about bringing in the attack-minded player.

“I know Kingy at Whitehawk, and he told me they had a lad on loan playing against us for Hednesford,” Greene explained. “When he played for Hednesford against us he’s done really well, so I phoned Kingy and said ‘when his loan’s up we’ll take him’.”

Ngamvoulou - who has also played for Romorantin in France as well as Staines and Farnborough - and defender Joe Burgess, formerly of Ilkeston, both joined the Pilgrims on Thursday, the pair making their debuts in Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Stalybridge Celtic.
