Paul Green believes Boston United could achieve ‘big things’ this season if their early form is an indication of what’s to come.

Despite conceding a stoppage-time equaliser to Guiseley on Tuesday, the Pilgrims remain unbeaten this season.

And former Republic of Ireland international Green, who helped Crewe Alexandra win promotion to League One last term, has been impressed with life at Boston since making his return to non-league, where he won promotion from the Conference with Doncaster Rovers.

“The togetherness and team morale in there is fantastic,” he told“I can see big things this season if we keep playing like that.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the lads in there have some great quality.

“It’s still early days, it’s only three games in the league and it’s not a bad return to take seven points.”

Boston return to action on Saturday as they travel to Southport (KO 3pm).
