Peter Crook believes an action-packed few weeks can help Boston United force their way even further up the National League North table.

The Pilgrims stopper kept his 13th clean sheet of the season in last night's 1-0 win over Brackley Town.

United - fifth in the National League North - face eight games between now and the end of February, beginning with Saturday's arrival of Kidderminster Harriers.

But Crook believes that the run of games could play into the side's hands.

"It's great. I think we've all gelled as a team really well and that's what you need for success," he said.

"It's looking good, we need to keep that momentum.

"We're four games unbeaten now and we need to keep going, winning and moving up that table.

"We've got games coming thick and fast and wins will only pump us up that table, so we've got to keep winning."

Following a difficult December, Crook appears to be back to top form after making a string of vital saves in the past two victories over Brackley and Southport.

"I'm pleased, but that's what I'm there to do," Crook added.

"I made some good saves and I'm really pleased with my performance.

"I had a few poor performances in previous weeks but I'm just pleased to come back strong and put a good performance in.

"I believe in my ability and the gaffer's repaid me by keeping me in the team."
