Influential left back Alex Whittle has left to link up with ambitious National League North rivals Gloucester City.

Fellow defenders Ashley Jackson and Simon Ainge have both moved to Northern Premier League sides.

Jackson has linked up with Scarborough Athletic while Ainge will join ex-Pilgrim Martyn Woolford at Gainsborough Trinity.

Jonathan Wafula and Ben Middleton had previously departed while Matt Challoner had al;ready agreed to join Southport.
