It was at the Sheffield-based club that the seasiders bowed out of the cup when the Yorkshiremen scored a last-minute winner last month.

No doubt still smarting from that reverse, the Lilywhites will be hoping for revenge as they look to cement their place at the top of the Division One table.

New signing Kieran Wressell is hoping to have recovered from the foot injury he suffered against Hall Road Rangers on his debut at the weekend, but there are still doubts about the fitness of Danny Brooks and Leigh Hutchinson.

While Town were seeing off the challenge of Hall Road Rangers at the Vertigo Stadium in Saturday, Swallownest were slipping to a 2-0 defeat at Retford.

They currently occupy 12th place in the league table with 20 points from their 14 games.

They play their football at Swallownest Miners Welfare, Rotherham Road, Sheffield.

Kick off will be at 3pm.

Lilywhites fans not wishing to make the two-hour trip do have an alternative option at The Vertigo Stadium on Saturday.

The club’s third string, Skegness Town A, will be hosting Division Three side Mareham United in the Challenge Cup (KO 1.45pm).

The Lilywhites’ reserves had been due to play their Premier Division fixture at home to Benington, but this has been postponed due to the Challenge Cup tie being given priority.

This will be the second consecutive week that the Reserves will have been left kicking their heels.

Last weekend Skegness Town A earned three points with an 8-2 victory over Spalding Harriers.

Daniel Reid struck four times for the seasiders, who are currently fourth in the second division.
