The result leaves them two points clear at the top of the table.

In front of a crowd of 134, the Lilywhites started brightly and Ben Davison saw a 13th-minute effort come back from the cross bar.

Rossington, however, started to show the form that has seen them climb the table in recent weeks and midway through the half opened the scoring. Brad Billam found Adam Watson on the edge of the box and Watson fired past James Lambley.

Main, who were beaten 3-1 at the Vertigo Stadium in August, doubled their lead early in the second half when Masasse Kianga curled a great shot into the top corner.

The seasiders spent the rest of the game knocking on the door, trying to rescue the game, but the closest they came to a goal was a Gary King free kick that skimmed the outside of a post.
