Sleaford Town make Shaw of all three points with late goal

With neither side able to break the deadlock in the first 45 minutes, the end-to-end encounter continued apace after the break. But there was no real sign of a goal on the horizon with gritty defending the order of the day.
Frozen to the marrow in the bitterly cold wind, Greens fans were finally rewarded with five minutes remaining.

Wellingborough Town 1
Sleaford Town 5
Sleaford Town ran riot in the second half at the Dog and Duck last Tuesday night.
A freak Joe Rich goal gave Wellingborough the lead on the quarter hour, but after Alfie Taylor and Dan Spaughton went close to extending the lead the contest turned in the Greens’ favour late in the first half.
Andy Wright equalised with a back heel four minutes from half-time, and just a minute later top scorer Ryan Oliver volleyed them ahead.

Oliver completed his hat-trick with a volley into the bottom corner with 12 minutes left and had the last word with an 84th-minute spot kick.
