Boston United will continue their pre-season campaign at Gainsborough Trinity - with Craig Elliott admitting some of his players need minutes more than others.

The Pilgrims will face Curtis Woodhouse's Holy Blues at the Northolme - which could be United's home venue for some league and cup matches this season - tomorrow (KO 3pm), following on from Wednesday's 3-1 victory over a Hull City XI.

For the likes of Paul Green, Matt Tootle and Ross Fitzsimons, whose seasons ended in March, the game will be vital as they look to get back to match sharpness.

However, the shoe is on the other foot for those who remain from last season's squad, and Jordan Burrow, who were recently competing in the National League North play-offs.

"We are ready for a game. My biggest problem is some of the lads are more desperate than others as they've not probably played (apart from the Hull game) since March," Elliott said.

"It's important them lads definitely get some minutes. The lads who played in the play-offs, it's about maintaining what they've done.

"But Greeny and one or two others just need to get games now."

Former Pilgrims Simon Ainge, Martyn Woolford and Gregg Smith are in the Trinity squad.
