Southwell calls on unchanged Pilgrims to gain revenge against Worcester City

Boston United were left deflated following a 2-1 defeat at Aggborough back in November, where the side put in one of their least memorable performances of the campaign on a windswept night.

Southwell, who netted the Pilgrims’ consolation in that contest, is now hoping to put things right at the Jakemans Stadium this afternoon (KO 3pm).

“It wasn’t our best game. We’re going out for revenge in that one,” he said.

“They seem to be a side who can raise their game and do well against the better sides.

“We’re not going to take anything for granted. We’ll show them respect, but we want to win it.

“We need to win seven or eight more games to give us a chance of finishing in the play-off position.”

Dennis Greene has named an unchanged side from the one which beat Bradford Park Avenue 2-1 on Wednesday, with Zak Mills tipped to return to action next Saturday following his Achilles injury.

Victory could see Boston move up to third in the National League North if results go their way.

United have won their past two home games against Worcester.

However, from the last seven meetings in Lincolnshire both have won three times and drawn once.
