While manager Nathan Collins previously stated that the majority of his squad were happy to remain with the Lilywhites as they push for promotion in the Northern Counties East League Division One, he will be happy to see the commitment being made official.

The club have announced a number of key players have completed the paperwork ahead of next season, including skipper Ben Davison and last season’s Players’ Player of the Year Jason Field.

Striker Gary King and keeper James Lambley will also remain at the Vertigo Stadium next season, along with midfielders George Hobbins, Tom Sawyer, Josh Nichol, Danny Brooks and Elliot Broughton and defenders Kieran Wressell, James Petronzio and Josh Morrall.

Collins had told The Standard that his players were attracting interest from other clubs, but felt confident he could retain the majority of his side.

“We’ve had a lot of teams contacting our players and offering them this and that, which we expect as we had a really good season last year,” Collins said.

The Football Association have confirmed their allocations for next season, subject to ratification, with Emley AFC moving across from the North West Counties League Division One North, due to the inclusion of newcomers Bury AFC.
