Tom Mullen equalised through a defensive mix up with a free header, but Boro again took the lead when Joel Grey played in Wood for his second.

Anchor pressed and got their reward with the last kick off the first half through Mullen.

In the second half Anchor went in front for the first time when Daniel Wiltshire raced through to slot home.

However Boro rallied and Joel Grey popped up at the back post to head home.

Wood completed his hat-trick with a bullet header to put Boro 4-3 up, and although another defensive mix up allowed Anchor to equalise again, ex Anchor superstar Lee Edmondson come back to haunt his old side with a world class finish worthy of winning any game.

Boro’s Mn of the Match was Dean Bonser.

DFS Welbeck 4

WELBECK made it four wins out of four for a perfect November.

The game started very slowly as both teams had to contend with awful conditions, and it wasn’t until the half hour mark when a goal arrived, Haslam beating three men before putting the hosts ahead.

Greendale starting brighter in the second half, and Welbeck keeper Nussey had to make three smart stops.

Welbeck broke after good play between Bromley, Short and Dobb before a through ball from McGurk set Haslam through on to round the keeper and score.

Bromley’s 15-yard strike made it 3-0, and his second of the game had Welbeck cruising at 4-2..

It should have been five but somehow Haslam missed from two yards out, with a open goal, and Greendale then came back to make it a tense finish with two goals in the last 10 minutes, the second a very good finish into the top corner which Welbeck Man of the Match Nussey couldn’t get anywhere near.
