Heavy rain through Friday, on top of persistent rain through the week, left Town’s Saltfleetby Sports Ground pitch waterlogged.

The Supplementary Cup last eight tie against Sleaford Sports Amateurs will instead be played this Saturday, weather permitting, with a 2.30pm kick-off.

The re-arranged tie means their scheduled Lincolnshire League clash with Wyberton will now be moved to a later date and will be their final league match of the season.

The White Wolves sit just a point and place above Amateurs in the league table, but are yet to lose against the Sleaford side.

Andrew Hunter’s goal gave them a slender 1-0 home win in November, while the teams shared the points in a 2-2 draw in October, Joe Marshall and Frazer Chapman on target.

* Louth Town Reserves’ knockout match survived the weather, but it marked the end of the line with a 3-1 defeat at All Star Panthers.

Ryan Johnson was on target for the visitors, but two goals from Hayden Graves and a Craig Codd strike took the Panthers through to round two of the Cusworth Cup.

Elsewhere, Louth Old Boys’ first round tie at home to Cleethorpes Town A was also called off.

Neither side have a fixture this weekend, but the Reserves return to East Lincs Combination action on Saturday, March 18 with another trip to All Star Panthers in Division One (2pm kick-off).

Louth Old Boys Vets host The Tache this Saturday in Division Three (2pm ko).
