Tom Garrick nets hat-trick as Boston Town beat Sleaford Town to claim first FA Vase win in eight attempts


Tom Garrick bagged a hat-trick as Boston Town progressed in the FA Vase at the expense of Sleaford Town - ending their run of seven straight defeats in the competition.
Gary Edgley's side secured a 6-0 victory over their visitors - whose preparation had been hampered by cancelled matches and self isolation following a case of COVID-19 in the camp - at the DWB Stadium.

Garrick opened the scoring, and his Poachers account, as he latched onto a long ball and lobbed Garry Doran in the 27th minute.
Six minutes later and Richard Ford doubled the advantage as he headed home from close range.
Garrick added his second of the game in the 76th minute to put the game beyond doubt, completing his treble two minutes later.
Sunstitute Harry Grigas had the final say, getting on the scoreeshet in the 87th minute and also in the final minute, heading home after Luke White's free kick rattled the bar.
The Poachers will now visit Anstey Nomads in the second qualifying round following their 2-1 win at Hucknall Town.
