Tomlinson breaks League Two record for Macclesfield
DINNINGTON’S Ben Tomlinson broke a League Two record last night, as he netted in 6.4 seconds for Macclesfield Town.
The striker, sold by Worksop Town in the summer for an undisclosed fee, beat three static Morecambe players before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner from 25 yards.
Tomlinson’s side drew 1-1 with the league leaders, and currently sit 21st in the League Two table.
Twenty-one-year-old Tomlinson’s strike was his third goal of the season for the Silkmen.
