Building on last year’s triumph, when they won the Under 13 Lincoln and Gainsborough Indoor League, the girls not only retained their title but added to it, winning the Under 15 section of the same competition.

Even more impressive is their completely unbeaten record in the event.

Picking out Lucy Farrow and Katie Williams as key players, Marsh lauded their goalscoring abilities: “Lucy has scored all the goals in her team’s games, and Katie has got most of her team’s goals.”

The TVA girls have been coached by England international Casey Stoney this season, something their teacher believes has helped.

“Her workshops have helped with motivation for the girls.”
