Under 18s exit the FA Youth Cup at Warrington Town

Worksop Town Under 18s crashed out of the FA Youth Cup, going down 7-2 to Warrington Town at the HG Recruitment Stadium.

Tigers got off to a terrible start conceding twice inside the opening three minutes.

An excellent through ball by Callum Wallace found Daniel Bruce who went round the keeper Tom Jackson to score.

Then Joseph Rhodes won a 50/50 ball with Jackson before netting, and on 37 minutes it was 3-0, Nicholas Chambers beating the keeper..

As in the first half the Wires scored an early goal in the second half with Wallace heading in a cross.

However, Tigers started a mini revival as Worksop pulled a goal back through Jordan White’s powerful header from Joshua Littlewood’s cross.

On the hour mark Matt Robinson made it 4-2 with a superb free kick into the top corner from 25 yards out.

Worksop had some chances to reduce the deficit further but it was the home side that extended their lead on 78 minutes as a glancing header from Adrian Williams’ free-kick hit the post and Rhodes fired home from close range.

An excellent low cross from Williams found Liam Turner to shoot home at the back post to make it 6-2.

And Benjamin Collins completed the scoring in added time with an excellent effort.

Worksop Town Under 19s twice fought back from going a goal down to draw 2-2 in a hard fought game at Sheffield FC

The hosts led through Bradley Bowland before Josh Bachner scored from six yards.

On 71 minutes Sheffield regained the lead when the unmarked Mike Haslam headed home.

But Farbob Yousefi latched onto Alex Nightingale’s cross to turn and fire past Russell.
