Villagers set to host struggling Rustons

The Villagers - who recently booked their place in the Lincolnshire Junior Cup final - will host Ruston Sports in the Supplementary Cup.

Joe Greswell’s side currently sit seventh in the Lincolnshire League, eight places above their struggling league rivals.

Rustons have failed to record a win in any of their past 11 matches, which included a 10-1 home drubbing by Wyberton.

Kick off at the Causeway will be at 2.30pm.

Jamie Elston scored the only goal as Wyberton left fourth-placed Horncastle Town with a 1-o win on Saturday.

Keeper James Doughty played his part in the win, saving Michael Harness’ penalty.
