Gary Edgley suggested Boston Town put in their 'worst performance of the season' as they were beaten by Deeping Rangers last night.

Lee Clarke scored a brace to ensure Rangers claimed a 2-0 derby victory over their Lincolnshire rivals at the DWB Stadium in this UCL Premier contest.

"It was probably the worst performance we've put in this season, but I'm not taking anything away from Deeping at all because they thoroughly deserved the result," Edgley told the club's YouTube channel.

"I thought they defended brilliantly, didn't give us any chances. We've possibly had four or five half chances and their keeper's possibly made one save.

"Just not good enough first half, we started well and that goals just completely drained everybody.

"Not good enough all over the park."

Town return to action on Saturday, travelling to Anstey Nomads in the FA Vase.
