Wyberton look to book place in county cup semis

Wyberton will be planning county cup progression when they host Crowle Town Colts on Saturday.

Joe Greswell’s side return from their Christmas break with a home clash against the Abacus Lighting Central Midlands League side in the Lincs Junior Cup.

The winners will book their place in the semi-finals of the competition.

Wyberton boss Greswell is targeting silverware this campaign after announcing he will be stepping down at the end of the season.

And if his wish is to come true then his squad will need to be at their best on Saturday against their visitors.

Wyberton are desperate to bounce back after suffering their first Lincs League defeat of the campaign, a 1-0 reverse at Horncastle, on December 14.

Kick off at The Causeway will be at 1.30pm.
