Young Tigers lose their home unbeaten run to local rivals

Worksop Town Under 19s lost their unbeaten home record to local rivals Retford United, as the young Badgers ran out 4-3 winners.

Retford opening the scoring on 19 minutes through Brett Lucas, and took control of the game when Jack Booth fire home number two.

Tigers hit back through Adam Powell’s header, and Harry Johnson grabbed an equaliser.

With 16 minutes remaining Worksop took the lead for the first time as Ash Jackson’s free-kick fell to Powell who unleashed a stunning 25-yard strike.

Retford’s Reece Thompson beat Sam Jepson however to make it 3-3, and Jack Munn got the winner for the visitors.
