YOUTH FOOTBALL: Horncastle Girls defeated in improved performance

Under-11 Girls

Horncastle Town 0

Winterton 7

Horncastle Town were defeated at home by a well organised Winterton side, but achieved a much improved result and performance after a tougher defeat away early in the season.

There was great play from all the players, and there were several opportunities for a goal as Horncastle pushed forward in the second half.

Player of the match award was given to Phoebe Robinson who had a fantastic game in defence.

The team thanked Neil Brookes for refereeing the match. It was a well supported game and Horncastle welcomed Winterton back to the clubhouse for snacks after the match.

If you would like to support the girls, pop down to The Wong on Sonday for their home match against Grimsby, 11am kick-off.
