Friskney lie second in the early stages of bowls competition

In Division One of the Coningsby and District Bowls League, the new season is now two weeks old and Billinghay lead the way having beaten Friskney at home by 59-46 (6-2) and Sleaford Road Away by 60-45 (8-0).

Friskney Currently lie second with nine points having enjoyed their first win of the season against Boston West End A by 59-42 (7-1).

In other matches to start the season Boston West End B Beat newly-promoted Mareham Le Fen by 82-46 (6-2), Mareham also lost against Castle by 50-55 (2-6), and Woodhall Spa Town A beat Boston West End B by 65-48 (7-1).

In Division Two, after the two opening matches of the season, Wigtoft and Sibsey Millers are neck and neck on 10 points each.

Wigtoft narrowly beat Friskney by 57-56 (6-2) and also just beat Goodfellowship by 60-56 (4-4).

Sibsey Came out winners against Burton House by 53-50 (6-2) and narrowly lost against Swineshead by 48-49 (4-4).

Other results in the first two weeks saw Freiston beat Swineshead by 58-33 (8-0) and Forbes Road beat Goodfellowship.

In Division Three, Jubilee Park A have set the pace with 14 points from their first two matches.

They beat Heckington by 62-33 (8-0) and Wrangle B by 61-45 (6-2).

Kirton B, Jubilee Park B, and Heckington are all following on eight points as of Sunday evening.

Other results so far have seen Donington closely beat Wrangle B by 51-49 (4-4), Jubilee Park B lost to Stickney 48-55 (2-6), Kirton B beat Wrangle A by 69-32 (8-0).

In Division Four, Kirton A have set the pace with 14 points from the first two matches.

They beat Woodhall Spa Town B by 57-47 (6-2) and won at Mareham Ladies 60-39 (8-0).

New Club Ruskington are in second place with 10 Points after winning at Boston Bowls Club by 58-35 (8-0) and losing to Sibsey Strollers by 49-57 (2-6).

Bicker suffered a close loss at BBC by 51-53 (2-6), Horncastle won against Mareham Ladies by 79-34 (6-2), Sibsey Strollers loss at Bicker by 39-50 (2-6) and Woodhall Spa Town B beat Horncastle 51-47 (5-3).
